Well the feedback I got about the forum was that the navigation bar was hard to read, they didn't like the fact there was no quick reply and that their email inbox was getting full of emails from this site.
Well I am pleased to say that the site is now using a new theme which is much easier to read, quick reply has been turned on and I have discovered a way to stop the emails.
To stop emails navigate your way to the profile tab at the top of the page, click preferences and then find "Always notify me of replies", if you click no to that, it should stop your inbox getting full of emails.
